Keep it coming!

Well, I received another call tonight from the caseworker. She had just spoken to birth mom for 20 minutes and says we still have hope that this baby is ours. Birth mom is in a bit less pain and her mom had been there to see her. Her mom was neither encouraging or discouraging to keep the baby. It doesn't sound like she offered her a home either. Clarissa was able to ask some tough questions of birth mom. Where will you go with the baby? "I don't know." How will you support the baby? "I don't know." She did what she could to help the birth mom to clear her thoughts and think clearly about what she had already planned and what is best for her and the baby. Clarissa wants what is best for birth mom too so she wasn't trying to push the adoption just trying to get birth mom to think about what it will mean to keep him. He was born at 8 lbs. 7 oz. He is having trouble eating. I suspect this is from the traumatic birth he had so please keep him in your prayers too.

Birth mom will talk with Clarissa at 8:30 a.m. (7:30 a.m. our time) tomorrow morning. She will call me after to discuss what she knows. Keep praying for her to think clearly about the whole picture. The case worker encouraged her by saying she made an intelligent decision months ago and needs to think more about what made her choose adoption. She also encouraged her by telling her that we are here and able to care for him forever and have the stability he needs. God Bless again and thank you for your prayers!

We will just keep storming the gates of heaven on behalf of everyone involved. Praise Jesus for his precious new life!

praying that all of you will be able to sleep soundly in Jesus tonight...even in the midst of such confusion.

Great to see the update. It's so hard to imagine how horribly difficult this whole thing is for her. Today as I was praying for you all, I just was rejoicing that she chose life for this precious child!!! Will continue praying for you all. Blessings~ Shelly
