Lena Mae! 8 lbs 1 oz, 21 inches, born at 8:58 p.m.
A wonderful birth experience. I didn't know when the midwife should come because my contractions during the day were so inconsistent. We finally decided to both pray and I would call her in an hour. At 6 p.m. I prayed that God would show us if Becky needed to come soon or to stop all labor and let me rest the night. She was two hours away so this was something we felt we needed an answer to. At 6:20 p.m. my water broke. WOW! What a sign that was! We called her at 6:30 and she got here around 8:30 p.m. 15 minutes of some painful contractions and I was ready to push. Three pushes and we had a new baby. It was so beautiful the way God worked it all out. Praise to the Lord for this new baby girl. The kids were still up so it was very exciting for them. Now, to feel like getting sleep. I don't usually sleep the first night after a baby is born, adrenaline and hormones and all. But, I am feeling a bit tired. Thanks for all the prayers. God worked a wonder tonight. She was baby #499 for Becky!

Oh Steph...she is absolutely ADORABLE! And Lena Mae...I LOVE her name!!!! I was so excited last night when your dd called. I had been praying and praying. I asked her how you were doing and she said, "oh mom was in quite a bit of pain." :) I just love her...she was so elated about her new baby sister. Congratulations to all of you! Lena Mae is just beautiful!

I just showed Ashleigh the photo of Lena and she said, "Oh GOOD, it's a good thing it was a girl or Rebecca was going to be really, really upset. She was going to throw a tantrum if it was a boy!" :)
